Piglet in Bed’s journey is an exciting one. Starting out from scratch in 2017, it is an inspiring success story with an ever-expanding range of beautiful linen that gets softer and softer with wear. It’s the home of natural comfort!
Piglet in Bed's impressive growth meant it was experiencing numerous data challenges, which in turn was creating issues with data accuracy, timeliness, and performance. Like many high-growth DTC businesses with ambitious plans to scale up to become an omnichannel retailer, Piglet in Bed recognised it was time to invest in a data platform and data lakehouse solution to create a master view of all its data and facilitate visualisations with easily actionable insights.
Datitude’s data lakehouse solution quickly and easily integrated data from Piglet in Bed’s source systems including ERP, ecommerce, performance marketing, email service provider, loyalty rewards programme, Adwords, Facebook and web analytics, meaning the team were up and running on the platform in a matter of weeks.
A two-phased approach to implementation was agreed to support the need to go live quickly with the core systems integration (for which we have standard integrations), whilst ensuring minimal risk and input from Piglet in Bed.
Additional integrations aligned to Piglet in Bed’s expansion into new channels formed part of a second phase, including pulling in additional data sets and enriching data models to further enhance its analytics and reporting capabilities.
The Piglet in Bed team accesses the data platform through two front ends; Tableau for a retail-focused suite of analytics out-of-the-box, and Datitude’s browser-based proprietary Application to fulfil any data analytics needs outside of a BI front end, including Datitude’s Excel Add-in.
Piglet in Bed has also revolutionised how it builds, analyses and manages its direct mail (DM) campaigns using Datitude's DM solution.
