Slater Menswear is the go-to destination for formal menswear and wedding hire wear in the UK, with 26 high street stores and its own website. Datitude has enabled it to improve its BI, reporting, and data usage at an enterprise, regional and individual store level.
DATA LAKEHOUSE & DATITUDE APPLICATION FOR STORE REPORTING
Founded in Glasgow in 1904, Slater Menswear has a rich heritage in tailoring. Having moved into retail in the 1970s it has established itself as a favourite menswear retailer in the UK with 26 stores and an online store. In addition to its own range of suits, casual wear, and accessories, it sells select brands and is renowned for its tailoring and hire services.
Like most retailers with a high street presence, it recognised the importance of modern technology to improve stock visibility and aid more efficient multi-channel fulfilment and decided to implement a new ERP system in partnership with Retail Assist. This provided the opportunity to improve its business intelligence, reporting and data usage at an enterprise, regional and individual store level. Datitude was approached to replace its outdated reporting solution and transform reporting capabilities for store managers.
Datitude has built a data warehouse to provide Slater Menswear with a single view of sales and stock across all their stores. We have also created a suite of bespoke reports using the Datitude Application – our own proprietary, web-based front-end user interface, meaning weekly reporting is now automated and emailed directly to store managers, to the exact specification required by Slaters. In addition, head office and store managers can now extract data (sliced and diced according to their needs), build their own reports using the Application, as well as run reports straight from Excel with the Data by Datitude Excel add-in.
