Now in their eighth year, the Retail Technology Innovation Hub (RTIH) Innovation Awards recognise the companies, technologies and initiatives making a real difference to retailers worldwide.

This year we’re celebrating being a finalist in two categories:

  • Technology Vendor of the Year (UK)

  • Best Data Analytics Driven Retail Initiative

The two categories recognise different things: one the company, the other what our platform makes possible for retailers. But they're closely connected. Great retail technology has to solve real business problems, and getting more value from data starts with the right foundations.

Retail technology that works in the real world

Retail technology stacks have become increasingly complex. More channels, systems and services mean more data, but also more integrations, more data flows and more ways for things to fragment.

Datitude's Unified Retail Data Platform provides the foundation to connect, integrate and unify that data.

Five connected layers: Integration, Data, Semantic, Intelligence and our Fully Managed Service, which wraps around them all. Together, they turn fragmented retail data into consistent, trusted information the whole business can use.

Technology is only part of it. Successful delivery, ongoing support and development, and people who understand retail matter just as much. That combination has helped us build long-standing partnerships with many of our clients, including Majestic Wine, Mint Velvet, Piglet in Bed, Slater Menswear and Vagabond Winebars.

It's why being a finalist for Technology Vendor of the Year (UK) means so much to us.

One data foundation, many possibilities

Our second shortlist, Best Data Analytics Driven Retail Initiative, gets to the heart of what Datitude does.

Retailers don’t lack data. The challenge is bringing it together and making it useful. We create one governed data foundation for retailers – the single source of truth that supports different users, use cases and tools across the entire business.

Trade and merchandising. Customer insight and segmentation. Marketing performance. Direct Mail. Forecasting. Financial reconciliation. Advanced analytics, BI and reporting. And increasingly, AI.

Different teams may access and use data in different ways, but they shouldn’t be working from different versions of it.

Our Semantic Layer, introduced this year, adds consistency to business data definitions and context. Our new AI Gateway (MCP Server) extends access to the same governed data foundation to AI tools.

The interfaces will change. The underlying data and business logic don’t. So new systems, tools and use cases build on data that is already connected, unified and governed, rather than creating another silo or another version of the truth.

A great year for Datitude

The double shortlist rounds off another strong year.

Alongside welcoming new clients and continuing to develop our platform, we were named in RTIH’s inaugural Retail Technology Hot 100, while our Co-founder and Director, Sarah Hughes was included in the RTIH Top 100 Retail Technology Influencers.

We’re delighted to see our team, technology and client partnerships recognised in this way. Thank you!

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London on 4 November. Wish us luck. We’re up against some very strong competition as the full 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards finalists and shortlist shows!
